Best of the Blogroll 2020

My posting time was pre-empted by other things during the holidays this year; this piece is normally posted the last day of the closing year. I'd like to recognize Christian blogs that I read with links to interesting or edifying content found there. I would recommend these posts as exceptionally worthy reads: 

• Chrisendom has a post that I had missed crediting last year and is still relevant, in which Chris Tilling reviews Pauline Dogmatics: The Triumph of God's Love by Douglas A. Campbell. 
• Common Denominator: Ken Schenck's book review of C.S. Lewis' Surprised by Joy. 
• Forward Progress: Michael Kelley had two posts that particularly caught my eye this year: Jesus will eat with anybody on radical fellowship in some unexpected directions, and the beautifully edifying take-away from his post 4 Gospels and 1 Implication for you. 
• Glory To God For All Things: Father Freeman shares his thoughts on the "Silence is Violence" saying from this past summer with his post Shaming Silence. 
• Reading Acts: Phillip Long reviews In Stone and Story by Bruce Longnecker, an intriguing look at the archeology of Pompeii and how it informs our view of the era and society in which the New Testament was written
• Roger Pearse covers news of ancient texts and translations, and sometimes contributes new translations himself. I was glad to read his post Lost text found in Armenia: Cyril of Alexandria's Commentary on Hebrews
• Sun and Shield: Martin LaBar offers a much-needed perspective-check on the relative importance of a typical election, from September, in Some thoughts on the upcoming election. 

In previous years I have taken the time at the end of the year to go back through each blog on my blogroll and find a solid or worthy post to link even if I had not bookmarked one during the course of the year. This year again with my pre-empted schedule the last couple of weeks I have not done that; the links here are simply the ones that I bookmarked over the course of the year. I'm thankful for all the Christian bloggers who serve God and create outposts of wisdom, compassion, insight, holiness, and all the other ways we can serve God.
